Hi everyone, we are adding a nice new slideshow of photos to the website and we need your help to test it! Right below this text you should see some photos which change every few seconds. If it does not work for you, then you would be helping us immensely by telling us about it. It absolutely does require that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed

What we need to know is what kind of computer do you have (windows xp or vista, linux, apple mac) and what browser you are using including the version number.

To find out what browser version you are using, go to the Help menu then click About

We want to make sure it works smoothly for everyone so your bug reports will be greatly appreciated.

So far we know it works on Windows Vista using Firefox 3.5.2 and it works on Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6 and it works on Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 7 (32bit)

Update: We now know that Flash will not work at all on the 64bit Internet Explorer 7 & 8 versions that install with Vista 64bit. If you've been having trouble viewing Flash on other sites then this message from Adobe should explain it.

Update: Thanks to your comments we've made some improvements. The "previous" and "next" buttons are now no longer dead centre obscuring the pictures. You can now click on images to see the full sized version. Images can now have captions. We also added some real images of the farm courtesy of Susie Claridge.

 Update: The website should look normal in old Internet Explorer 6. You may notice that the "Grindstone Farm" logo slightly overlaps the little farmer fellow on the left. This is because IE 6 does not support transparency in images. Nothing we can do about that. Upgrade your browser! All the text on the pages should be in the correct position without huge gaps though which is the important thing.

We just had a report from a customer (thank you) that the website is not displaying properly in Internet Explorer 6 (aka IE6). If you visit the site with IE6 it may seem like the text of the page is missing. In fact it has been shoved down the page for some reason and you must scroll down to see it.

We are looking into this right now and hope to have it fixed soon.

You should be aware that older versions of Internet Explorer contain serious bugs which can cause web pages to display incorrectly (or not at all) and - more worryingly -  could lead to virus infection or hacking attempts.

Microsoft (the makers of the software) say that it is critical that all users upgrade to the latest version (currently version 8) to avoid these problems.

Here at the farm, we test the website using Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 and Firefox 2.5
This means we always try to make sure the website works on the most modern browsers and also the generation of browsers than came before.

We realise some people are happy with Internet Explorer 6 and so we are going to make sure it works with that, but we can not stress enough: Keep your web browser up-to-date!

Thank you to everyone who sent us feedback about the way the new site looks.
We are taking all your suggestions onboard.

1. The Delivery Areas page now has links to maps of the various areas we deliver to.
2. The logos on the right hand side of the website now link to information on the various programs that they represent.
3. We updated our F.A.Q section to address some of the most common questions we receive.
4. We added approximately 60 new recipes to our Recipes section. Yum Yum.
5. We added a Sitemap page to help you find what you are looking for.
6. We added several pages to our Produce Guide.
7. Fixed a lot of broken links.

Coming Soon...

• We are going to take advantage of the gorgeous weather by taking some new photos of the farm and our organic produce. The website is looking a bit bare right now but we will rectify that as soon as we figure out how the camera works.
• We would also like to put a fun survey on the site to try and get a better handle on what kinds of organic produce you would like to receive from us. It will be easy, optional and anonymous to fill out.

We are in the process of adding our huge archive of Grindstone Farm newsletters and CSA / CNY newsletters to our website. You will be able to download them in PDF format suitable for printing.

These newsletters are a great resource for learning about organic produce and they will be available as fast as our little fingers can click them up there.

We appreciate your continued patience while we sort out our website. We hope that when we are done we will have a lot of interesting and valuable pages for you to browse.
