This week... Sausage, Herbs and Turkeys!

Published Monday, November 12, 2007 by Paul

Hi Folks,

The website has been updated and is open for shopping until NOON on Monday. We had our first dusting of snow this week. We have Big Bertha, our woodstove in and cooking to keep us warm in the barn. Beef is back this week. We have added pork breakfast sausage and hot & sweet italian sausage too. All from WW Texas Longhorn Ranch in Bernhards Bay, NY. The new Herb line has been selling well and we have added a few more to that section, so be sure to check those out. There is a nice poultry mix that would be great inside those Thanksgiving Turkeys.

The first wave of turkeys will be delivered this Thursday, with another delivery on next Tuesday, November 20. Please remember all orders will be delivered Thanksgiving week on Tuesday. If you will be away for the holiday, please remember to put yourself on Holiday in your account so we don't deliver your order. If you haven't ordered yours yet, we need orders by NOON on Monday for turkeys too, please call or e-mail.

Have a Great Weekend and enjoy your shopping!

GSF at the CROP Hunger Walk

Published Monday, October 15, 2007 by Paul

Dear Friend -

Largely because we are farmers and dedicate our lives to the production of food, hunger is an important issue to the de Graff family and once again we have decided to get involved! Our family annually participates in the CROP Hunger Walk to raise funds to help fight hunger. Unfortunately this year Dick, because of his recent farm injury and now additional complications of infection, he will not be able to walk with Vic & Lucas, but nonetheless he will be supporting in spirit!

Please consider making a donation to our efforts. Your donation supports programs that work to solve this world-wide challenge, and a large percentage of funds raised will be returned to our local community (Vic is on the Board of the Food Pantry serving Pulaski).

You can help us by making a donation online. Click on the link below and you will be taken to our personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. If you are unable to donate at this time, we appreciate any prayers you can direct for the hungry and needy of the world.

Donate to the CROP Hunger Walk.

Thank you & God bless you,

Vic, Dick & Lucas de Graff

Hope you come in from this beautiful weekend long enough to shop as are website is now open and updated for shopping. May I remind you to place your order by Monday at NOON.

We've got a busy weekend planned here at the farm, which includes pulling all of our pumpkins out of the field on Saturday-- a perfect time for you to come out and celebrate the coming of fall with us.

We'll be having a potluck/bonfire that evening-- all are welcome until it's time for the wee ones to go to bed and it will turn into a 21 and over crowd. If you BYOB, camping is encouraged.

Farmer Dick has purchased some Macintosh Apples from Knapp Farms in Sodus, NY. They will be for sale this week (and until they are sold out) for $31.50/bushel (approx. 40 lbs.) Be sure to place your order for them soon-- they won't last long!
